This weekend- only have a day

Hey there- I am in town this weekend on a stop over and only have a day. What should a 20 something do to pass the day? Any points of interest?

This weekend- only have a day

Since everyone%26#39;s interests are different, it%26#39;s tough to give you advice unless we know what you%26#39;d be interested in.

Take a look at the Inside Pages section here and get an idea of what%26#39;s available. In the most general terms, there%26#39;s shopping, museums, historic sites, etc., just like there would be if you were wandering around Toronto.

This weekend- only have a day

Since you only have one day in Boston, my advice would be to grab your camera and spend the day exploring the various neighborhoods of the city. The neighborhoods of Beacon Hill, Back Bay, South End, North End and the area around Fanueil Hall Marketplace are all very. Each area mentioned is considered safe and each is uniquely different from the next. All have points of interest for you to stumble upon. It%26#39;s probably asking too much to get a good feel for each in one day. But you could easily do two or three since Boston is easily walkable and has a good transit system. There%26#39;s photo ops around every corner and would be a better way to remember the city than spending it in the malls all day.

If you have the luxury of being able to walk without too much weighing you down and the weather is nice.

Start in the N. End, walk across to fanuil hall, walk up past govt center(ignore the ugly building) head over to Beacon Hill, cross over to Boston Public Gardens -ride a swan boat if there is time and finish on Newbury street. Total distance maybe 1/2-2 miles

This is a spectatular walk of old and new Boston. You will pass lots of pubs and restaurants that are 1 of a kind as well as the Cheers pub for the tourist in you.

If you have not been to Boston before and want to get an overview I would take a Duck tour (have they started up yet?) or a hop on/off trolley tour.
