looking for hotel suggestions - 2a and 2c 10 %26amp;7 looking for central hotel and suggestions on things to see
also any chance of seeing a baseball game???
FAMILY of 4-Australians arriving Boston late PM sept 4thBaseball tickets are hard to get. You can try the Boston Red Sox website a few weeks in advance when tickets are released, you can pay a premium through StubHub or you can take your chances on game day when a limited number of tickets are sold
As for hotels ... anything in the Back Bay, Fanieul Hall/Quincy Market or Boston Common Area will put you close to subway and tourist attractions.
Holiday Inn Gov%26#39;t Center is conveniently located and has an outdoor pool if that might be of interest ....
Happy Planning.

Go t othe red sox website and look at the schedule. It%26#39;s really easy to buy tix online, then just print them at home. I just bought some for late Sept. Don%26#39;t leave it too late though.
Thanks for your prompt response and advice
This is a holiday weekend, as you may not know. Monday, September 7th is Labor Day. The city will be crowded with tourists, as well as students returning to the colleges in the area. I%26#39;m sure you%26#39;ll have an enjoyable time but don%26#39;t put off making reservations.
If you can%26#39;t get tickets to a Red Sox game, you might still be interested in a tour of the ball park. boston.redsox.mlb.com/bos/ballpark/tour.jsp
If you%26#39;ll give us an idea of what your interests are, we can make appropriate suggestions.
Thanks
we were aware of the labour day weekend holiday
with this in mind are there any special events on this weekend ? and which day do they occur
excuse my ignorance but with the ball game ( given the holiday weekend) which days are the games played and what would be a reasonable price to pay for some semi decent seats ( just want to soak up the atmosphere)
also on the monday we travel to NYC midday to early afternoon and are considering AMtrak - schedules are normal/ weekend ????
any other suggestions re Boston in 2 days? - 1st time travellers to Boston ( Aussies) who don%26#39;t know much about the city
The Red Sox are playing in Chicago that weekend, Friday through Monday. They play at home Tuesday night against Baltimore.
With regard to hotels and sightseeing, I suggest you browse through the forum, and then get back to us if you have more specific interests. There%26#39;s a lot of information in here already on both topics.
I%26#39;m personally not aware of any special events scheduled for Labor Day weekend. I imagine there will be some, but it%26#39;s generally a holiday that doesn%26#39;t generate a lot of hoopla.
Best to check directly with Amtrak (http://www,amtrak.com) for train information.
Happy travels.
Make the comma a period, of course: http://www.amtrak.com.
