Best clam chowder

Can anyone tell me where I can get the best clam chowder in the South End or Back Bay area? Thanks.

Almost any chowder you get will be somebody%26#39;s favorite, and there are innumerable places to get chowder. I%26#39;ve tried only a small fraction of the possibilities, but two places in the Copley mall make what I consider excellent chowder: Legal Seafoods and Turner Fisheries.

Clam Chowder is everywhere and there are lots of different opinions about ';favorite'; chowders....

but my favorites are Legal Seafood (for a thicker creamier chowder)

and Top of the Hub (for a thinner chowder with lots of clams)

I am sure you will get a lot of different opinions!

I am not an expert by any means, but I thought Legal%26#39;s clam chowder was yummy!

In the South End, try B%26amp;G Oysters.

My vote is for Legal%26#39;s....
