How can I get from Logan to Amtrak Downeast Station?
Thanks.
Transportation from Logan to
If you mean South Station, which you would want for points to NY. Walk out of the terminal and catch the silverline. The signs are well marked and the cost is $2.00. It should take 15 minutes or so once on the bus. They come by every 10 minutes or so.

The Downeaster would be the Amtrak service that leaves North Station and goes up into Maine. For that, take the subway from the airport to State St. stop. Then transfer to the orange line and take that to North Station. Cost is still $2
This is great. Thank you. I%26#39;m headed to Maine. Thanks!
How can I find info about the subway/location/schedule from Logan?
actually, now that I look at the subway map, it%26#39;s silver, red, then orange.. then this would take me to the Southstation which is where the Downeast Amtrak stop?? Sorry for the need for clarification %26amp; thanks for your help.
Make sure yo are at NORTH station, not South Station and the two stations are not easily connected.
You can go silver-red-orange-North Station, but do not confuse the two stations or you%26#39;ll never get to Maine ;)
Will%26#39;s technique also works: from the terminal where you land, take the subway shuttle bus (not the silver line). Any airport ground employee will direct you. This will put you at the airport subway stop which is the blue line. Take the blue line inbound to State and then switch to the orange line (towards Oak Grove) and get off at North Station.
And if you are carrying lots of luggage you might consider a taxi. It would probably cost about $30-35.
This is very helpful. Thank you. I was thinking either the subway or just taking a bus to Portland, Maine.. although this will overshoot my destination and total cost is $44.
