Hi
My wife and 2 children, aged nearly 1 and 3 are planning a trip to Boston and the Cape during the first 2 weeks of September
Ideally we wold like to stay in rental apartments/houses that have 2 bedrooms (or 1 with a sofa bed in the lounge)
Could anyone recommend places to stay both in Boston and Cape Cod?
Ideally we are looking to spend no more than US$600 per week in the 2 locations (a week or so in Boston and a week or so on the Cape)
Any help greatly appreciated

You may be hard-pressed to find a place within that budget, especially since the first two weeks of September are still ';high season'; vacation time, and thus more expensive. If anything is available, though, I%26#39;m sure the folks on this board will be able to help you find it. Best of luck...

Well, It%26#39;s not as grim as all that Pastiche. Just a quick check of our realtor%26#39;s rental website indeed shows some options for Mid-Cape Dennis for the second week in Sept.
Since you folks don%26#39;t have the opportunity to see a Cape property before you rent it you would be well served to use a reputable realtor in order to get what you want. You can be in touch via e-mail.
I%26#39;ll also send you a private message with some touring info as well.
You%26#39;ll have a great time in Boston and wherever you %26#39;land%26#39; on the Cape.
You%26#39;ve picked the best time of year! But, I would be hard pressed to find something in that price range on the Cape. Call the chamber of commerce and see what they recommend. www.falmouthchamber.com You might also try Cape Cod Campground

You can get a really nice cabin that is pretty new and very clean for $600/week. And it is so much fun!
I’ve stayed in places that cheap (and cheaper) many times – but what you’re going to get for your money is a little cabin/cottage. Expect something rather rustic, in the wood rather then on the water and a bit off the beaten path. I generally rent from www.weneedavacation.com – but I can see why others would want you to have a more personal recommendation. I did look at the few properties that I’ve stayed in before and can personally vouch for – unfortunately they’re rather popular and are booked. I did see that Brownies Cottages in Wellfleet has some availability - I’ve never stayed there but that property is an older one and it has a good reputation – I think it’s worth checking out if it sounds like Wellfleet appeals to you.

This article about the Wellfleet Ponds may appeal to you since you’ve got children so young – if you’ll be there after Labor Day (Monday Sept 7th this year) you don’t need a town beach sticker to park and the fresh water ponds are generally still nice and warm:
