Looking for an excellent location for single woman wanting to be near good shopping. I see there are 2 Fairmont properties or a Marriott which are the chains prefered. Will this be a safe area in the evening alone?

Fairmonts or Marriott
The two fairmonts that I know about are Copley Plaza and the new one near the Coast Guard station. Copley Plaza is better located for shopping although the other is getting good reviews and is in a good locaiton in the North End (Italian neighborhood).
There%26#39;s a few Marriots in town. If you are are talking Marriott Copley Place it%26#39;s attched to in upscale mall which connects to the Shops at Prudential via an enclosed pedestrian bridge.
Fairmonts or Marriott
The Fairmont Copley Plaza is a beautiful old hotel in a very good location. The Fairmont Battery Wharf is brand new and on the water, but not as centrally located as the Copley Plaza.The Marriott Copley Place is a high-rise in a pretty good location and as noted connected to indoor malls. All of the areas are perfectly safe.
