Can you give a sense of budget and tastes? It%26#39;s a diverse area, lots of options.

restaurants

Zaftigs

would like italian and seafood - mid-price

Hmmm, not exactly a ton of Italian and seafood options in that area, unfortunately. Unless by seafood, you mean ';sushi';. If that would interest you, try Fugakyu (best in Boston, but pricey) or Genki Ya (wonderful value). Of course, the various Indian and Asian restaurants in that area would also have seafood on the menu, but I have a feeling that%26#39;s not what you had in mind.

For super casual Italian, I like Bottega Fiorentina. You can do dinner but it%26#39;s really more of a lunch/takeout place. Really good though. Honestly, that%26#39;s all I can think of for Italian in that area, and I know it reasonably well.

Seafood%26#39;s the same story. You%26#39;ll find restaurants that have some seafood on the menu, but I can%26#39;t think of anything that specializes. Lineage serves upscale American cuisine, they%26#39;d probably have a fish dish or two. Zaftigs is super popular and has a big menu, so I%26#39;m sure they%26#39;d have a few things you might like.

Wish I could help more!

I love Dok Bua for Thai food. They do the standard dishes you see on all Thai menus, and they also have a Thai menu you can order from or inquire about, if you want to be a bit more adventurous. Like many Asian places, they have a good amount of seafood on the menu.

There is a mini restaurant row on Harvard Street cross Beacon ST from Coolidge Corner

Walking just a few blocks from Coolidge Corner provides some additional tasty choices.

If you go toward Boston/Kenmore Sq, you%26#39;ll see Elephant Walk (French and Cambodian) and Taberna De Haro (Spanish tapas) on either side of the street. While not American-style seafood, both have many tasty seafood selections.

If you go down Harvard St toward Brookline Village, you%26#39;ll find Matt Murphy%26#39;s Pub (Irish) and Pomodoro (Italian). The fish and chips at Matt Murphys are legendary!

Especially if the weather is nice, these are just a 10-15 min walk from the heart of Coolidge Corner.

Taberna De Haro is fantastic. It%26#39;s definitely worth a bit of a walk to get to.
