dinner suggestion before concert

We are going to the Leonard Cohen concert at the Wang center May 30 and are staying at the Langham. I have great difficulty waking so will need to cab around. Am seeking ideas for dinner before 8:00 show where I could either be VERY close to the theater or easily get a cab. Any ethnic food a plus. I know this is an annoyingly specific request, but we are very excited about the weekend and help would be very much appreciated !

Not annoyingly specific at all!! In fact, it%26#39;s far more annoying when someone asks for a recommendation without giving any sense of what their preferences/needs are.

The Wang is a short walking distance to a number of restaurants. There%26#39;s a good Thai place called Montien on Stuart Street, which crosses Tremont. Also a highly regarded pub/comfort food place called Intermission Tavern a bit further up on Tremont. You can%26#39;t go wrong with either, and they are really, really close.

I would definitely stay close to the Wang rather than try to get a cab. It can be a bit challenging to find an open cab at that time on a Saturday night.

Right across the street from the Wang basically is a fantastic spot called Pigalle, french bistro menu.

Amazing and super romantic. Not a huge place so I%26#39;d call for reservations for sure.

Enjoy the concert!

Montien and Pigalle are both great suggestions. Chinatown is very close, and it%26#39;s usually pretty easy to get a cab around there if you aren%26#39;t up for the walk to the theater.

Third the rec for Montien (Thai), esp OP prefers ethnic food.

Hi,

I%26#39;ll fourth the recommendation for Montien. It%26#39;s an excellent Thai restaurant, and it%26#39;s about as close to the Wang as you can get.

Thank you all for your suggestions. Montien sounds perfect, and all suggestions will be considered. I veeeery much appreciate the help...

The cabs from The Langahm are easy enough to get. Tell the doorman where you are going. Check with him to see if the cab is able to cut thru the downtown crossing. This will save time and a few bucks if able.

You should give the doorman a buck or two for hailing a cab if you choose to use him.
