Facebook connection??

For the last few days, every time I respond to a post here on TA, a popup appears indicating that a connection to Facebook is being established. I always cancel it, but is this happening to anyone else? Did I miss something about a connection?

It is a new feature that TA implemented.

(a lot of frequent forum folks are not fans of the new feature)

It is annoying..how do I make it go away?

Last week the hotel ads where in the middle of my screen, making it impossible to read anything.

I don%26#39;t read pop-ups at all, so I don%26#39;t know if I%26#39;ve been effected... when any pop-up happens, I immediately hit ';ctrl Y';

And as I was composing this, I noticed at the bottom of this page, a checkbox ';Share your reply with your friends on Facebook';.. it was defaulted with a checkmark.
