Hi, I will be in Boston this NYE (Dec 30 %26amp; 31) and was wondering what some of the signature or ';not to miss'; events might be over this time. Thanks
new years eve 2005
The annual ';First Night'; festival on the 31st is a great way to see Boston. A large parade in the afternoon down Boylston streets starts the event, which continues until midnight with outdoor and indoor events - many more details will be available in the autumn. There are children%26#39;s activities and musical events for all ages, along with 2 sets of fireworks. It will be plenty cold, so bundle up :). Have a wonderful trip!

Thanks Bostonbased I will check back in a couple of months and contact the hotel to see what they can book for me.
I was in Boston for new years last year. It was a lot of fun. We stayed in the Hotel @ MIT. It was very nice and they had a whole package for dinner. We then headed out to see the fire works on the waterfront that take place at midnight. The streets all around get crowded with lots of people and vendors selling noice makers and crazy hats etc. It%26#39;s a fun, exciting place to bring in the new year. There are also lots of bars that you can walk to to celebrate some more after.
