I am looking for a nice hotel close to Fanuiel Hall and maybe the aquarium. The 11 yr old would like a pool and room service while I would like a clean room and places we can walk to. Only coming in for one night. Thanks to everyone for their advice.
Hotel Near Fanuiel Hall
The Marriott Long Wharf sounds perfect for you. Right between the Aquarium and Fanueil Hall. Pool. But why room service?
Hotel Near Fanuiel Hall
You may look into the InterContinental. It has all the amenities you are looking for. This hotel frequently shoes up on hotwire for a song as a 4.5 star in the Fanuiel Hall/Financial District.
Alan ... my kids (10 and 12) are always asking about room service. Me? I%26#39;m in a new area, I want to try local restaruants but for the kids, this seems to be the height of vacation luxury!!!
We stayed at an Omni in DC 4 years ago to attend a wedding. As part of a %26#39;kid friendliness%26#39; campaign going on at the time, they delivered warm cookies and milk to the room at bedtime and they%26#39;ve been hooked on room service ever since!!!
Also during that stay, on the day of hte wadding we let them get room service so they could eat while parents took turns showering, and they%26#39;ve been talking about it ever since!!
I think the TV show ';Suite Life of Zack and Cody'; plays into it too .... but I%26#39;m not sure.
Thanks. I%26#39;m always learning something new......
I should quantify my above post with information I omitted before.
There are several hotels rated at 4.5 stars in the Quincy Market District...however, the InterContinental is the most frequent of those properties and usually includes a ';spa'; icon.
Use betterbidding.com in conjunction with the zone, star level, and amenities to pinpoint with a certain degree of uncertainty which hotel you are looking at prior to purchase.
My kids always liked room service, too. Even recently I went away with my 17 year old son. He is a good travler and likes to site see, but if I let him he would have been perfectly content to sleep until noon, go out to lunch, come back and watch TV and play video games and order room service for dinner.
That is pretty much like it is... She likes a snack or something during the day and just because she can she enjoys room service... It is all about doing it yourself at home so who doesn%26#39;t like to be spoiled once in a while...
This is school vacation week where we live and most of her friends are going away for the week so to give her a treat we are going to Boston for the night and a little room service....
Thank you for all the advice... Have not spent the night in boston for a long time, it is usually a day trip for us.
