I am looking to rent a car from the airport and would like to know which agency has the most convenient rental counter?
How about between Enterprise and Thrifty?
Thank you!
Car rental at LoganYou know I%26#39;m not sure about the rental counters -- since I don%26#39;t rent in Boton ... but they USED to be all clustered together like at most airports. But a couple of years ago, I rented in LA and had to take a shuttle bus to the rental site and do all my paperwork there.
That said, I%26#39;d be more worried about returning the car than picking it up. The car rental shuttle buses at the airport are easy to spot. Thrifty and Enteprise both have pickup/drop-off just outside of the airport. Thrify is on Rte 1A, Enterprise just off of it. 1A is a divided road, 2 lanes on each side.
In my humble opinion, if you are coming out of Boston, Thrifty is easier to find. Enterprise moved about 6 months ago and you have to negotiate a fork in the road and it%26#39;s a little %26#39;tucked back%26#39; and easy to miss.
Thrifty involves reversing directions from Rte 1A N to Rte 1A South, but it%26#39;s easy, you see Thrifty, keep right, get off and signs direct you to make a U-turn under the raised road-way and get back on. It%26#39;s a legal U-turn on a special peice of roadway set up for that purpose! ... I%26#39;m not suggesting you drive like a Bostonian. ; )
Car rental at LoganIf you%26#39;re renting a car to come to visit Boston, I%26#39;d suggest you ditch the car. You%26#39;ll save yourself tons of money and stress. Boston is a difficult city to navigate for newcomers and the parking fees at most of the hotels will add up very fast! Boston is easy to navigate via public transportation and/or cabs are readily available. If your visit is mostly in town, most cab rides would be very short.
I see less rental agents actually at the terminals. I see the boths but no people.
