It lists the station as overnight parking. Does anyone know anything about the area. I would like to park my car there for three days while visiting Boston for the marathon.
Thanks!!!
Woodland T Station on the Green Line
The area is fine, very suburban, very green. That doesn%26#39;t mean that a vandal couldn%26#39;t get at your car if he wanted to, but, it%26#39;s by no means a bad neighborhood.
I%26#39;m not sure what the parking facility is like. Did somebody post the other day that they have a covered garage?
Also, very nearby is Riverside Station, which has a huge parking lot (not covered). It%26#39;s the outermost stop on the Green Line, with Woodlawn being the next one in (I think).
Woodland T Station on the Green Line
Woodland Station is in Newton, which is often named ';lowest crime rate of any city'; or something like that. It%26#39;s a big suburb, about 80,000? population, but a wealthy one. I woudn%26#39;t worry too much, but as someone said, there are vandals everywhere.
Maybe you aren%26#39;t this naive, but don%26#39;t leave ANYTHING in view while the car is parked. If you have a GPS with a suction cup, wipe the suction cup marks off the window. GPS thieves have been known to look for the marks and then break in and look for the GPS.
Either riverside or Woodland are safe and good size lots.
Riverside maybe better because it wide open area.
Good luck!
Woodland is a covered garage and is pretty secure. There is an attendant on duty 24hrs. You can%26#39;t get out of the garage unless you have a ticket.
OTOH, Riverside is an open lot, so relatively speaking it is less secure.
You can park overnight at both places.
We have previously parked for 4 days/nights at Woodland%26#39;s garage and had no trouble at all.
