We headed to BOS to see colleges. We ended up getting a great rate at Nine Zero since we had interviews at Suffolk U.
Parked off of Comm Ave. for 18 for the day and had interviews at BU. Lunch was at Eastern Standard. FABULOUS waitstaff, setting and menu. We sat outside and watched the Red Sox fans head to the mid day game. The sky was sunny so most folks were dressed for that weather but within an hour the rains returned.
We drove to Nine Zero, easy peasy and did valet parking for 38.00. Check in was smooth and the staff great. The surroundings are very modern and comfortable. The public areas welcoming. The concierge Scott was most helpful for our two day stay.
We were in room 508. The two queens featured lovely bedding with goose down comforters and pillows. There were Aveda apothocaries.
We took the crowded T to Kenmore and hit the night game. It was wet and cold but a blast. The Sox won which was great. Our seats purchased on Stubhub were fantastic. Many folks were moving around as there were plenty of empty seats.
Getting back was almost as crowded but we made it back 4.00 US each way on the T for two.
We went to sleep around 12 and were woken at 4 to the sounds of the bar next door tossing hundreds of beer bottles into the trash bin. Then a garbage truck came and set off an alarm on a car. The alarm blasted a good while. It went off finally and then started up again 3 more times. We heard constant trucks backing up with that beep beep sound. It was the noisiest night%26#39;s sleep we ever experienced in Boston. Previous stays gave been at the Fairmont Copley, The Eliot, Lennox, former Ritz and Westin. I woke at 7 exhausted.
The hotel was convenient to Suffolk where we had 3 appointments. We walked to Sel de la Terre for lunch which was AMAZING.
We headed back to Cape Cod at 1:30 after two amazing days.
Off to bed..need sleep.

carib..I should have worn my TA hat to the ball game. I passed right by you at Eastern Standard! Where did you end up sitting for the game?
I had a similar experience as you re: noisy trucks in the middle of the night when I stayed at a place in New York. I had been to the particular hotel a few times with no problem with the exception of my last visit. So I guess the moral of the story is room location can definitely effect your visit.

Nice TR and insight on the trash collection. Many places right in Boston have the trash collected at this hour. I have heard complaints of other noise in the area but this is a first. It would be a major problem for me.
Once in Disney I had this problem. I had them move me and I often warn people on The Orlando forum who ask about the same hotel.
Thanks.
To caribchakita,
Could you tell me what night of the week you stayed at the Nine Zero? And also what direction your room faced (N, SE, etc.)? I see that you don%26#39;t think it would have been an issue on a higher floor...
I will be staying in may on a Thursday night and am curious now.
To anyone else in the know,
Does this happen on a nightly basis?
We sat Bleacher section 40 right above the bull pen row 4. PERFECTION. We could have moved like others to sit anywhere but we could see Papelbon%26#39;s baby blues so were happy. What a ham he was.
Our room was on the fifth floor on the side where they valet park near Beanpub or something? I complained at check out and the lovely gal said she has never heard complaints but suggested we stay higher up next time?
Pickles, we stayed on Wed. night. The truck and ALL noise commenced around 2 AM but crescendo%26#39;d (sp?) at 4 AM.
Glad you enjoyed your visit to Boston thanks for sharing.
