Hi All! My boyfriend and I are in the starting stages of planning a getaway...a much needed getaway! I%26#39;m horrible with planning and I end up doing so much research that I get confused so I ask you to help us. We are both 34 years old and are looking for a nice, comfy, romantic place to stay. We want options of things to do but also want to be able to just hang out and do nothing. We love to eat so we need to be around places with great food! We both love seafood - especially Lobster. Not even sure what area to stay in...we do enjoy history and the outdoors but aren%26#39;t really into long hikes or bike riding, if that makes sense to you. So, if you could suggest some great places to stay that would be wonderful! We will be driving from NY so we will have a car with us. We both have champagne taste and a beer budget LOL! But will spend when it%26#39;s worth it.
Thank you so much!

Two questions - when is the getaway planned and are you looking for Boston only or anywhere in Massachusetts?
Planning a trip and really need help!
Hi. We are planning to do this sometime between May and the beginning of September....we are open, it doesn%26#39;t have to be just Boston. Once we figure out the place then we will pick dates.
Thanks
Here are few places that you might be interested in:
Boston, MA (parking your car will be expensive)
Newport, RI
Plymouth, MA
Portland, ME
Portsmouth, NH
I would also add Ogunquit, ME (not so much for history)
You know where I would go? Newburyport or Rockport. Both are small, charming and have good restaurants (and lobster) and nice places to stay. You can also head to the beach: http://www.newburyportchamber.org/ http://www.rockportusa.com/
Not the usual suggestions here on TA but I love both of these Massachusetts towns!
