first time to nantucket

We are thinking of going to Nantucket for the first time this summer. I have been looking for beach houses to rent in the Dionis area. Other than vrbo, are there other websites to help me out? If the beach house doesn%26#39;t work out, are there any hotels in the area? We really don%26#39;t like very rough water which is why I was interested in Dionis Beach. How far is that area from town? Any info would be helpful. Thanks!

I%26#39;ve never seen any hotels/B%26amp;Bs near Dionis. Dionis is about three miles from town (fairly easy bike ride), or about 3/4 of a mile from the nearest shuttle stop. If you stay at an in-town B%26amp;B, you can walk to Jetties Beach (or take a shuttle), which is also surfless but a lot more crowded. Between the two is Steps Beach, but that has no lifeguard or other facilities.

There are several sites to check out... VRBO/CyberRentals/Craigs List (Yes I know, but it works)...

Make sure you check out Dionis... It is a nice area, the beaches are nice, but you are a bit more secluded... If you want the beach another area you might want to check out is Cisco area...

Also, try www.homeaway.com as a link for vacation rentals.

IMHO Dionis is too far out. I prefer something in the Brant Point / Jetties area for close proximity to everything.
