We are visiting Boston and New York in 2 weeks time (realise we are leaving things a bit late). We have 4 days in the middle in which we were planning to visit Cape Cod. We have to return the hire car to Boston to catch the train.
Is Cape Cod (Provincetown?)our best option for a few days of relaxing/enjoying scenery/good food or should we be looking elsewhere.
Aware the weather won%26#39;t be great but would still like a walk along a beach - and the weather will probably be better than Scotland (we hope!)
Someone suggested Cape Ann.
All suggestions welcome!
Thanks in advance
Cape Cod or elsewhere?
Yes, you should visit Cape Cod. (How%26#39;s that for direct advice? ;o) Provincetown is a terrific place to visit and you could walk Race Point beach. Here is a link for all of the National Seashore beaches: http://www.nps.gov/caco/ Here is a site with a live webcam on P-town: provincetown.com/features/鈥?/a> Have fun!
Cape Cod or elsewhere?
As long as you know that it is not beach weather and that the water is way too cold for much of anything this time of year. Hiwever, it looks great and you%26#39;ll miss the crowds. The idea of staying in a town is good, as the ';in-season'; places are generally not open yet.
';Is CC the best option?'; That is so subjective a question and really depends on what you like. CC is great from Ptown to Woods Hole and MV or Nantucket. You could probably fit in Newport, RI also.
But the Bertkshires are beautiful as well. The White Mountains are glorious. Stowe, Vt is one of many quintessential NE towns. Alot of people swear by the Lakes region in NH. I guarantee whatever area you chose, you will not be disappointed.
