Anyone familiar with the seatings at Banknorth?
I%26#39;m looking for tickets and came across what appears to be a sweet deal for a round 2 game. I%26#39;ll make the trip down if the game 1 is on a Saturday night.
The seats are for Loge 17 row 3 for $310 a piece.
Am I correct in assuming that these seats are 3 rows up from ice, or is there another section of seats in front? That would be pretty sweet
Is $310 a good price for these tickets?
Must be a good time to be a sports fan in Boston these days...
Banknorth seating question?
You are correct in assuming you will be 3 rows from the ice. Haven%26#39;t looked at the prices for Bruins playoff tickets, so I don%26#39;t know if they are a good deal. They are good seats behind the net if you like to see a game from that vantage point.
As far as it being a good time to be a sports fan in Boston these days...it%26#39;s actually been a great decade to be a sports fan in Boston. The Patriots won 3, the Red Sox 2 and the Celtics 1. We%26#39;re just waiting on the Bruins to win one now. Could this be the year?
Banknorth seating question?
This is strickly personal preference but I would avoid seats that low. As someone who loves hockey and appreciates being able to see the action away from the puck I would opt for any balcony seat over a 3rd row loge seat.
Check out www.aceticket.com and you will find balcony seats for around $135 per seat. Better view in my opinion and more beer to drink with the money you will save.
Thanks for the replies.
I average about 20 hockey games a season in different stadiums. I find siting closest to the ice is ';exciting'; while sitting up high is better to just enjoy some quality hockey and watch plays unfold and pick up small details that go unnoticed close to ice etc.
A follow up question:
I%26#39;m a big penguins fan, and assuming the bruins host the penguins how tolerant are the fans towards fans of the opposing teams? I%26#39;m from Montreal and I know that Bruins and Leafs fans especially can be subjected to intimidation, beer pouring and I have seen many fights break out. I%26#39;m not looking to cause/start trouble all I want is to wear my Malkin jersey and cheer on my team. What can I expect in terms of Boston hospitality?
Generally speaking if you are not obnoxious and are good natured you should not have a problem. The loge seats tend to be more civilized than the balcony crowd. The cheaper the seats the rowdier the fans.
